As usual, I find myself coming to city data to pick your brains.

In the middle of a whole kitchen/dining/living remodel at the moment and time to start looking at granite countertop for the kitchen.

This post is to ask your experiences with local San Antonio companies. I'm looking for a fabricator installer meaning.......I want to see the largest inventory at their yard of what they have available and if what your experiences may have been if you've installed granite in your kitchen.

Thanks

Unless you've had granite for a top I strongly suggest you don't use it. It's a major PIA to keep looking nice and it stains. It's a big enough pain that I won't install it as the GC. If the owner insists on it I just hook them up direct with the tops folks and let them put up with the grief later. I'd suggest looking at poured granite instead. It's cheaper and is far more usable and far less to maintain. For poured granite:
Alamo Marble on Enterprize
Venetian Countertops in Helotes

For granite
STI Granite on Nakoma

Hmmmm,......it's actually for my house.

We'd look at everything and decided on granite as opposed to marble (absolutely not), quartz and others.

Never heard of poured granite....will look into it.

Otherwise, thanks for your input.

Anybody else on granite yard suggestions and experience with them?

Thanks.
