Looks like it was ready to fall down anyway so maybe the wind did you and your neighbor a favor. Glad no one was hurt.

I figured, the front was painted and until the high winds it was perfectly sound. My neighborhood isn't the greatest and my house may not be up to hoa snob standards but I try to keep it nice from the street

My neighbor actually helped me disassemble the thing, not because he thought it was an eyesore, but because we're good neighbors. I also let him have the beams and sheet metal to make a patio cover. I've gotten a lot of compliments from people on how I've fixed up this house. This is why I chose to live where I do, no snobs that get their panties in a wad when something isn't perfect.

The carport wouldn't bother me that much, but I can't say the same about the stuff surrounding it.

If it was my yard, that would drive me nuts.
