Wonder if the NBA fix machine will get started now to force a game 7. I hope the Spurs win.

Did Jeff VanGundy really say neither the Heat nor the Spurs are the best teams in the NBA?

I thought that might happen tonight, especially with Joey Crawford on the floor... but no, it was a fairly called game and I loved how they let them play. We'll see what happens, but perhaps the NBA is concerned with other problems right now. Thanks Donald Sterling!

No he meant that there were other teams in the west that could bet Miami as well. In other words, these aren't the two best teams in the nba. The best teams are in the west. The spurs included.

Exactly right. The Spurs beat the second best team in the NBA in the conference finals.

That's what I was hoping he meant. It makes the most sense.

Joey Crawford gets a bad rap as an anti-Spurs ref. He's actually more of an anti-home team ref. He seems to go out of his way to show that he's not influenced by the home crowd. Some of the other refs do seem to get influenced by the crowd. This is why I was happier to see him working one of these road games than I would have been to see him working a critical game here in SA.

But the best news of all is that the Spurs won and the win had nothing to do with the officiating.
