Where can I buy Fredericksburg peaches in San Antonio? I'm in the O'Connor and 1604 area, but I'm driving over to the Bandera and 410 area today.

I usually go to the stand that's located
on Nacogdoches Rd.
just outside 1604 past the Rolling Oaks
Mall on the right side of the road.

Usually there are stands along 281 on weekends, if you drive north from 1604.

some are not genuine...just be aware. I remember reading or seeing something on the news about that last year. Ask where they get them. Check them out.

M2F us right. Ask questions and look them over carfully. I bought some "Fredricksburg Peaches" one time from a Fredricksburg Peach Stand somewhere just north of SA and when I got home my wife inspected them and they turned out to be moldy tangerines. BEWARE OF SCAMS!

I'm kidding of course but M2F is right. They may be straight from a local grocer.

When are stands open? Week ends only? Mornings only?

Drove out 281 Sunday afternoon and found none.

I don't know if the harvest has started yet. During peach season, there are usually stands open on 281 on both weekend days, in the morning and afternoon.

Thanks. Have seen Texas peaches in HEB, but smelled like cardboard, thought they might have been from Fredricksburg.

We bought heavenly Fredericksburg peaches at a stand in Leon springs, right at the Elementary school and across the street from Rudy's BBQ. It's a family with kids and they are only there on the weekends.
