Obviously much to the chagrin of mods who wish he did not.....again, my contention is either clear his name (if he did nothing wrong and should NOT be considered suspect in the death of those who gave their lives in search of him) or take appropriate action if the investigation shows he was responsible for the aftermath of his "disappearance" ....but lets stop this PC BS and do what is correct according to the UCMJ and give him/those that have died their due!

Sgt. Bergdahl returned to regular US Army duty

Oh man, hubby's office is thinking they're gonna put him in their building. Good times, good times. Nobody is happy there at the thought of this. The Army better "poop or get off the pot" as to whether this guy is a deserter...

Yeah, I am certain of that....I just believe IF this thread is actually about SA and the goings on, then we should NOT sweep what we do not like to think/talk about under the carpet, but are HONEST about anything effecting this city!

Since he remains here, it IS SA related despite the fact others wish it did not.....

I am sure he will be "protected" during his "reintegration." Why not put him the POW camp they built at Lackland for all the juvenile refugees/illegal immigrants?!

I like how the JCS came out last week supporting his return, but caveated it with "we work to bring all our servicemembers home!"

Still, no word on the investigation into his actions; but letting him run loose around Ft Sam Houston with all the real heroes who have sacrificed in the defense of this country is probably not the smartest move in the book!

This town is sure getting more than its fair share of bad publicity these days...

It was on the news today that he has been given a desk job by the Army.

My goal is NOT to judge him by public forum....but to ensure that he gets a TRUE and FAIR trail, which from everything I read over the years is NOT in his favor....but I am willing to let the military justice process take place....but I guess I never thought he would be left here in SA for that to play out.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out as far as the perception of our city as well.

I'm guessing that even though he has been returned to active service he is under psychiatric care/monitoring and with SA being the medical hub of the military it probably makes sense both medically (and fiscally) to keep him here until he is processed out or brought up on charges, whichever happens.
