I thought for sure they saw maybe a bobcat but there's been a second sighting. Hopefully they can tranq it and relocate it before it hurts someone or someone shoots it.

My neighbor is the person who first spotted it and he is adamant that it was a large mountain lion with a long tail. I walk in the greenbelt quite often, so maybe I should start carrying a (bigger) gun.

The KSAT cameraman made sure that our traditional weekend beer drinking activities were about 3 feet out of the camera's view.

We live right behind Camp Bullis and there is at least one sighting a year of a mountain lion that the neighbors will notify each other of. One neighbor told of him spotting a mountain lion taking down one of his goats. I see bobcats all the time around here but the mountain lion thing makes me a little trembly.

People at the Bush football game were talking. I did see a group of people heading down the trail and a lone man running on the trail. Also saw a girl walking home on Evans by herself. School has sent 2 emails along with a link to the news story and tips on what to do if you do run into the mountain lion. Also received another email from the elementary school which is not near the park.

Not sure where you all are talking about but a co-worker of mine claims one has been one spotted around his subdivision on Culebra outside 1604. Anyone else see anything out on the far west side?

The original sighting was in the greenbelt behind Beaver Creek (street) in the Mountain Lodge neighborhood. The greenbelt is connected to Stone Oak Park and I believe the second sighting was near the trails between Canyon Ridge Elementary and Bush Middle School. I think the trails are also part of Stone Oak Park.

Article was wrong about Bush. That is the letter I received from the principal but as it states the football game WAS held- outdoors. There is no recess in MS and football practice and PE have been outside as usual. Most likely a large group wouldn't be a mountain lion's preferred prey. There were additional police at the game. Hopefully the cat will head for less populated areas but my family won't be taking any hikes just in case.

There's really nothing to worry about. Mountain Lions rarely, rarely attack humans and are more likely looking to avoid when they get near humans. Most times you're probably near a mountain lion while on the trail but would never even know because they try to remain hidden.
