doubt this has anything to do with WF. their profit is healthy and a small farmer's market is no real competition for them

if you want the answer to this riddle, I'd ask why, months ago, they were asked to leave blue star in the first place

Default ..a little update

After word got out that the popular Quarry Farmers and Ranchers Market was being kicked out of its Sunday home of three and a half years, market owners David Lent and Heather Hunter said they received "hundreds" emails from across the city offering them locations to relocate to.

They've not yet made a final decision but, according to Lent, they hope to be up and running in their new location on December 14. This coming Sunday, December 7, will be the market's last in the parking lot of the Alamo Quarry Market.

It could have been due to some sort of WF interaction, but if so, they didn't inform their employees of their concerns. Every time I have gone to WF on Sunday, their employees often encourage me to go check out some stall at the Farmers Market...

Quarry farmers market announces new home - San Antonio Express-News

And the winner as the new location for the Quarry Farmers & Ranchers Market is ... The Yard on McCullough.

After two weeks of searching for a new home, owners David Lent and Heather Hunter announced at a meeting of vendors Sunday morning that they'd begin operations at the Olmos Park shopping center beginning Dec. 14.

I read that. Those two shouldn't be running a farmers' market! Racism is an extremely ugly thing to deal with in a business like that. I imagine that most of the vendors will go to the Pearl, which added a Sunday market!

I can buy the argument that parking for some of the merchants is impacted; but then, how many of them are open Sunday mornings? Sunday morning isn't exactly a peak time for shopping. Makes me wonder if maybe something else is at play here.
So, after getting the boot at The Yard after a short run, for reasons stated in the linked article, it still makes me wonder if something else was influencing The Quarry management to end their relationship with The Farmers Market?
