Custom Home/Home builders (San Antonio, Boerne: renting, buying, price)

Hi,
My wife and I are fairly new to San Antonio and are currently renting and looking to buy/build. We are having trouble finding homes that meet our criteria so we are leaning towards building. We are thinking of buying our own lot and finding a builder to construct the home. Our total budget is around $325,000 including the lot purchase. We want some land, 1/2 acre or more preferably and in the area north of 1604 along I-10 up to and including Boerne or Timberwood Park/Bulverde area.Does anyone have experiences or recommendations for builders, who could do this and build a home of about 2000 sq. ft. 3/2 with nice finishes for around $250,000 (the other $75,000 or so going towards the lot) ?

You should call Jake Murillo with Veritas Custom Homes. I've done a lot of work with all the builders, and for someone in your price range, Jake is great. Tell him Kevin Crawford told you to call him. I'm not 100% sure he can get there, but I'm pretty sure he can. vchtx.com
