Just curious... I brought my trash to a local school's dumpster but, only after dumping, saw the sign that said "No Dumping, $500 fine..." What's a guy to do?

All bets are off if OP tells Public Works that he forgot to put out his trashcan. The missed collection is for city screwups.

Called 311... since I didn't put it out I need to use private landfills (which appear to be pretty expensive).

I already took care of the problem (using [unknowingly at the time] illegal methods unfortunately ) but I was just wondering what others would do.
