I like the look of Alamo Heights and how it has nice, unique, interesting homes. However I don't like being right in the middle of things.

I heard the NW and NE parts of the city and burbs have the best schools, is more conservative than the rest of SA, and is more for middle class families. Is there anywhere in NW, NE or the burbs that has nice suburban areas with middle class families, good schools, and interesting/attractive architecture. It can be any style..just more unique than tract homes from 2004

Northwood (the portion in NEISD) perhaps, but pushing the limits of "middle class" affordability.
Braun Station (NISD) - except for the most recent area of the 2000's, each home is different, and many were custom.

Other than those subdivisions, I can't think of any other unique, interesting, and attractive architecture for the middle class that does NOT reside within the older areas of town (and this comes from someone who grew up in suburbia in a home exactly like the one 3 doors down... which is why I now live "in town").

Maybe around the Vance Jackson/Callaghan area?

Depends how you define middle class and affordable....

The area between Callaghan/Fredericksburg/410 and Babcock (roughly) has a lot of mid-century-modern homes that are just stunning. I suspect prices are on the high side, but perhaps not as high as AH.

They aren't nearly as pretty and interesting as the homes in Alamo Heights and Terrell Hills, but Brook Hollow has a lot of homes that look like they were built in the 1970s and early 1980s. I feel like I'm in the Brady Bunch tv show every time I drive through there.

Maybe the Woodlawn area too. I second the Inspiration Hills (Babcock/410) reccomendation too. I can't think of anything on the northeast side outside of maybe Windcrest.

Castle Hills is one of the best locations in town and has a ton of mid century modern homes.
