Rough night all around me. Had to go out today for a few errands and looked like a war zone in a few areas. The island on Basie from Broadway to the Quarry had lots of limbs down. The AHUMC had major tree damage on the Bassie side. Lights out @ Bassie & Jones Maltzberger @ the Quarry. Lights out @ JM & 281 and @ the RR tracks. Lights out @ Sunset & Broadway. Lights GONE @ Lorenze & Broadway @ Howard Development Center. Major tree damage down Lorenze. Lights out @ Nottingham & Broadway and major tree damage down Nottingham. Major Damage @ Chateau Dijon. I'm in Terrell Heights and appeared to just miss the major damage. 2.3 inches of rain and heavy winds at my house last night. Wife said Nacogdoches and North New Braunfels was really bad when she took our daughter to work @ HEB. Friend in Northwood had their tree laying on the neighbors house. Tornado started just south of my sister-in-law's house 1 block off of Jones Maltsberger, no damage for her. We had maybe pea size hail, heard it against the doors and windows but didn't see any on the ground, Thank God, still repairing after last year.

Northwood mobilized a chainsaw brigade to clear roads and yards. Neighbors offering empty bedrooms to those affected. Tonight, St. Andrews UMC is having a spaghetti dinner for those unable to cook. Tomorrow,Whataburger is providing breakfast to residents and first responders.

What a warm feeling to see such an outpouring of help and support for neighbors. Proud to be a San Antonio resident and a Texan.

Of all the times. I have both of my chainsaws up @ my property in Kerrville to clear some brush and trees. I do have my truck here if needed. I saw the spaghetti dinner is running till 7p but may be extended. For those wanting to cover their roofs, a quick fix is the heavy plastic from lowes or home depot and a slap stapler. No rain forecasted till Sunday at the earliest.

PS...
Another thought is there are a lot of power outages in the area and generators would be VERY helpful.

Another update. Any debris you have in the effected area of Northridge, you can drag to the street along with any tree damage and the CoSA will pick it up. They should be there at least for the rest of the week. Info from Nextdoor Northwood/Oakpark.

Yesterday there might have been some reports of hail, though not as extreme as predicted. Nothing like what occurred April 2016. And 3 inches of rain or more in some places.
