I have lived in AR for 2 1/2 years and have never experienced hail here. I did tonight! I physically jumped and thought something fell on my house, and it kept on hitting. It actually took me a minute to gather my bearings and to realize it was hail. I got 2 balls just like Smuboy and put them in my freezer. Now I know what my neighbors meant about having their insurance adjuster look at their roof for hail damage. I think I may call mine to be on the safe side.

We are in the same neighborhood and ours was softball to grapefruit size...I have already filed a claim on USAA.COM. For those affected with USAA insurance, they are there to call or file online. STAY safe!!! Looks like round 2 is almost here and round 3 not far behind.

There are reports of windows in homes being blown out by the hail in our area, and I have a friend down the street that has a leak in her roof because of it (and a fairly new home and roof too!)

Oops, LOL! I didn't even think of what I wrote, and yes, it is funny. Glad I could make you, and me, laugh. If you think this is funny, ask me about my bowling ball story. Go on, ask. If you do I will make a new thread, and then everyone can post what "foot in mouth" things they have said or done.

Lots of damage at my home (78209). Neighbor windows are broken. Home siding damaged. We had golf ball sized hail and strong winds.

Oldest son lives on NE side of SA - two windshields broken out, as well as several windows in his home. Worst part is his truck - not even 6 months old, and it sounds like most of the body panels got hammered pretty badly.

We dodged the bad stuff here in NB, thankfully. We were on the road back from Buda when my son called, so we ducked into town and grabbed a bite to eat while the worst of the storm passed through. Hit some heavy rain on the way back to New Braunfels, but that was it. Doesn't sound like SA fared so well.....
