Severe Weather San Antonio (Spring, Richland Hills: tornado, subdivision, live)

Just experienced high winds, heavy rain and pea sized hail @ Potranco & Culebra. NWS alerts going off on TV every 15 mins or so. Current weather cell is moving off to the NE rather quickly, however, radar shows another cell @ Hondo moving along Hwy 90 headed our way. It's as bad as the one that just hit. Stay alert for possible tornados....

ya those series of storms wasnt fun.

wasnt any tornadic activity in any of those storms, just some big time hail was the biggest issue there.

Wife just called, the Post Office at Richland Hills is closed. They have storm damage and no power. She said as she drove thru Heritage Subdivision that it looked like a war zone with downed trees and fences. She said dead birds litter the roads too. One guy she chatted with at the post office said hail was almost golfball size and was several inches deep on the ground. He said he saw a tornado rip a tree out of the ground. All that around 3:30 am.

Several weeks ago around 1-2 AM, there were several fire trucks, EMS &
police units near my house.

I went online on the above link & I was able to monitor on what was
happening at the moment. Live report from Police,Fire,EMS ---
Enter state, city & what dept. for live broadcasts.

Storm took out a section of my fence last night (Potranco/151 area).......spent the day so far putting new posts in.

Springtime weather is fun. The 10PM TV weatherman declared all the rain to be gone for several days...then 5 hours later comes 2 hours of storms.

Lightning strike from the Friday morning storm took out my Internet, my cable, my phone service, my garage door opener, a thermostat, at least one computer and a growing list of electronic devices I keep finding that don't work anymore.

If there wasn't any tornadic activity in these storms then Mother Nature sure was fakin' it. Went down Ingram Rd from Potranco to 151 and there was a lot of devastation. Trees that lined Ingram Rd were either completely gone or broken in half. The lights at 151/Ingram were still out as of 3:30 pm. Large TxDot signs along 410 & 151 were blown down. Other trees in the area were severely stripped of leaves. A large metal something was by the side of Potranco blown there from who knows where. Yeppers, lots of devastation.

Wow, that stinks! Were these devices all plugged in? If not, I wonder if there was an EMP from the proximity of the lightning strike?

Plugged in. There was a loud flash and some pop sounds at the instant of the strike. I was only half awake at the time, but I woke up quickly after that.

Discovered an hour or so ago that it took out a second computer.
