Anyone here know of a local testing company and or removal if it does contain asbestos? My house was built in 1960 so I'm a little worries about it.

You could try this:
Amazon.com: Asbestos Kit: Health & Personal Care

You can submit a sample here. Or call if you need help collecting a sample:
Asbestos Testing For Homeowners

Other companies:
Asbestos Testing San Antonio TX | Test for Asbestos

Average Price to Test or Evaluate Asbestos Risks: $100 - $150
Project Timeline: 6 Hours

Also read here:

BTW: Asbestos-containing ceilings, floor tiles, undamaged laboratory cabinet tops, shingles, fire doors, siding shingles, etc. will not release asbestos fibers unless they are disturbed or damaged in some way.
Popcorn asbestos ceilings are not dangerous per se. Health risks for mesothelioma only arise when the ceiling material is disturbed, releasing asbestos fibers into the air.

In my opinion, asbestos is grossly over hyped. I handled tons, literally thousands of tons of it when I was a teen. I'm not dead yet. You can test this at home without any major test kit. You can wear long sleeve clothes and a filter mask if it makes you feel more comfy. All you have to do is spray an area of the ceiling with a mix of water 90% and Windex 10%. Leave it at least 1 minute. If you can scrap it off like it was mud, there's no asbestos in it. If it's on there like concrete, it has asbestos fiber in it. If it's just the fact that it might be asbestos that is your concern, encapsulate it with a satin, semi-gloss, or full gloss paint. Flat won't work and neither will any of the primer sealers. The part that makes the others work is the porosity of the paint film. If you use an Ultra White, apply 2 coats. That will give you roughly a 6 mil plastic barrier between you and it.
Back years ago when I got my remediators license the first words out of the professors mouth was "If you don't put on the show, you won't make the dough". Does that give you an idea how over hyped this is. Not saying that asbestos can't and never has caused cancer, but it's a long way from handling nuclear waste. Personally, I think breathing is the number one cause of cancer.

Lol I say the same thing. Pretty soon they are going to say that breathing causes cancer. I did a sample in my garage, yes they textured the garage, and it clumped and came right off. I've heard about those test kits being a joke. You pay for some zip lock bags and an address to send the samples to.

San Antonio Testing on Laredo Street in San Antonio was doing testing for it, as well - not sure that they still do.
