Or it could be "Education Law is the area of law that relates to schools, teachers, and the rights of Americans to a public education, as well as standards for those students who attend private schools."

Being a lawyer, I have to tell you that I've never come across one. My instinct tells me it's not a profitable specialty. You might have to look outside of San Antonio. Good luck in your search.

Googled and found this: (80 lawyers listed)

Education laws relate to how our schools operate. They cover matters like educational standards, school district and school board authority, student attendance, discipline, and dress code requirements. An education lawyer advises school districts and school boards and represents them in disputes with students, teachers, and parents. Education lawyers also represent parents who have issues with their children's education. For example, if you think your child has been improperly suspended from school, an education lawyer will help you determine if challenging the suspension is within your legal rights.

Education law and the term "school law" is the name given to the branch of civil law that covers the laws and regulations that govern federal and state education, including the administration and operation of educational institutions, school athletics, instruction methods, programs, and materials. This area of law encompasses issues relating to school faculty, staff, and students, including school discipline and discrimination based on race, color, national original, sex, or disability in violation of the Equal Educational Opportunities Act, Title IX of the Federal Education Amendments of 1972, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act. I have heard of this in relation to Special Education and advocating for a child's right to _______(fill in the blank) in an appropriate facility that caters to his or her needs.

Oh it can be pretty profitable. There are all sorts of lawyers who represent schools and school districts and then there are lawyers who rep individuals. There's school law, special education law, school finance law, etc. If the poster needs help for a student, there are non-profit resources like Disability Rights Texas. They can help with ARD meetings, etc.
