Time will tell.

This a pretty rosy article from the biz journal.

I never really thought of it that way, but I can see how that will affect marketing purposes.

Never did understand why there was a HoB in Atlantic City inside the Showboat Casino. I don't know if they still operate or not even with Showboat shut down. The venue sucked I can tell you that. Because of being near the casino, it was typical to go to a show and have front row seats allocated to some high roller who didn't belong in the crowd. Or to have whole sections of seating not even show on their seating chart because of casino concerns. Backstage passes harder to come by as well. Trump Marina was a lot nicer venue when it was open there. More accessible.

The first time I ever visited the Aztec was in the late 80s when my younger brother and I, both preteens, wanted to see the latest Schwarzenegger double feature. The last time I was there was about a month ago, to see Danzig play live.

I've seen about three concerts and about ten movies there. It has to be one of the coolest live music venues I've ever been in. The crowd intimacy is second to none. The night club in the lobby throws you off at first, but overall it's rather fun to walk through a club into a music venue. I only hope that the ticket and drink prices do not increase any more, but they most certainly will. Either way, it's a positive for the city.
