The problem with old money places is that the crooks know it too. I know a friend of a friend renting in AH and she has had the house broken into 4 times in the last year despite efforts to beef up security.

Police chased them from zip code 78230 (where the club is and shooting happened) to 78209 but yeah crime even happens in '09.

Just as the ASSumption can't be made that this thug was on his way home to '09 when he happened to get caught with an AK 47, the ASSumption can't be made that the thug in the previous story is a resident of Stone Oak.... nice try, though!!!

No but the previous crime undeniably happened in stone oak, please stick to the logic.

I don't live in either area so I have no dog in this fight. I am just saying I am sure there are better news articles out there to say crime happens in '09. The one linked earlier is not.

It's funny.... I lived in the '09 10+ years ago, and had my house broken-in to twice. I relocated outside of '09, and have never (knock on wood), been broken-in since.
I say "knock on wood", because I am well aware of the fact that thugs and criminal activity can happen anywhere. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in.
Some on this forum have made the assertion that Stone Oak is overridden with criminals based on a random incident in a club. Saying this would be using the same logic to say that because a criminal was apprehended in '09 with an AK 47, then it must be overridden with gangs and organized crime. Neither argument makes much logical sense. Let's not ASSume!

The locations of these crimes are irrelevant.
The problem lies with the mentality of these idiots that can't even go out and have a few drinks without getting into trouble.
They can travel to any bar in town and do the same thing. Just because something like this happens in a certain "upscale" location, does not necessarily mean it's a neighborhood with a growing gang and/or crime problem.
Like I said in this thread earlier, these morons are all over town these days...not confined to any specific area. Until their gang mentality and machismo attitude goes away....these things are going to happen EVERYWHERE.
