What advice can you all offer me about pool covers for a soon to be installed in-ground pool (freeform, 16' X 35')?

We are most interested in the Step Saver Manual (see attached photo)... anybody out there have one of these, or know somebody who does?

We are still willing to entertain semi-automatic and automatic options. We don't mind needing to put in some labor to close the pool regularly, so long as the task is not too exhausting.

If possible, please provide us with pros/cons of each type, as well as expected life expectancy & associated maintenance costs.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I would want manual cover. There are too many cons, automatic option cost way too much.
