Do you even realize how you come across when someone does not agree with you? The definition of wealth is very subjective. It is a no brainer.

I am not worried about how "I come across." If you saw me on the street, you would not know me.

Because people draw different lines when it comes to wealth, all we can do is talk about statistics. If you think the guy who has 10 dollars is wealthy, fine. That does not overcome facts such as how many households have a net worth of X dollars or using economic lines (such as the 30 million ultra high net worth person line) Which is an often used line when having this conversation.

I get it, some people think the way they feel is the end of this conversation, and to them, it is. However, some people chose to look at it in the forcm of a range.

You would be surprised how anonymous you or anyone can be on the Internet. Don't act so confident that you will remain so. I know I don't expect total anonymously being on the internet.

As for the topic of wealth, we can just agree to disagree on this.

Default What does it mean to be Wealthy in San Antonio

Ernesto Ancira is a localboy. Then I assume the koehler family who built Pearl Brewery still have their money, plus other wealthy local folk. You might see their picture in the annual Chrysanthumum Ball booklet in the paper every year. It's a charity ball, but they aren't flashy and have some class unlike that family Lamar Odum married into.

Wealth means you have enough money to do and buy all the things you want . not wishing you had money to do that or buy that . that's my 3 cents and I'll leave it at that .

Private Jet use does not generally become something people can afford until the 2 million a year mark or beyond and a much higher number for it to make sense for you to own your own.

My point is the term 1% gets tossed around a lot, but your surgeon in the 1% cant come close to affording the things the .1 (point 1) can afford.

Yeah, a top doctor or the guy who owns a nice small business makes a fine living. He might even have a million dollar home and a real nice car, but there is a lot of things those kind of people can not afford.

That is why the concept of an ultra high net worth person (as I used in a previous post) is so important. It draws that line between "a well to do person" and a person that is actually rich and does not have much in the way of restriction on the things he can afford.

This post speaks the truth

Many wealthy folks I've met could, yes, easily rent a jet- Netjets or similar- but to own one is needing to have a whole other kind of money.

To buy a jet, to employ a standby crew and to contract a pilot on-call, that takes much more than most 1%'ers can ever afford.

As for wealth being subjective, I agree. Wealth is measured in a variety of ways, but based on what the OP suggested, this is a discussion of San Antonio and money.
