Circle K was the main convince store in Colonies North. It was common for us kids to sneak out of houses at night and meet up at Circle K.

I think we do. Valero tried to create a monopoly and then let their stores go to crap. It doesnt seem like they care about 7-11's presence because their stores continue to look like crap. Maybe some quality competition will be good for those chains who DO care about their presence.

Yes, Fair enough.
Circle K will RULE San Antonio with Quality. Our current convenience stores lack quality, as many other issues in this city, but lets not get off track!

Circle K's will rule!! Hopefully they will place them quickly in strategic locations where us as consumers will have CHOICES!! Unlike the grocery issue here with H.E.B.! OOps! Sorry getting off track, convenience stores are the issue, Circle K is the topic!
People, don't get off topic!

There are too many Valero Convenience stores. We need more Circle K stores; hope they come quickly.

7/11 franchises out, not the same and they dictate their own prices; not across the board.....

I wonder how many here know that Circle K is 100 percent owned by a Canadian corporation, based in Quebec ? Yes, it's called Couche Tarde.

Here is a link to the news article about their purchase and expansion of of Circle K.

link. How Couche-Tard plans to expand its Circle K convenience store brand globally | Financial Post

Not only do they own the Circle K brand in the USA, but they are also expanding it in other countries around the world.

There is a new "Corner Store" or some name like that currently being built at Zarzamora street and 410 on the Southside that seems to be owned by Valero.

I guess Valero is rebranding their stores in an attempt to complete with 7-11 and now Circle-K.

Valero and Corner Store are now two separate companies. Valero spun the Corner Store brand off and now that company is called CST.
