Lots more fun being boss than being bossed.

But he was boss at CPS. Head of Security, I believe. I just don't understand how he could leave a career in law enforcement for a "suit" job. I was surprised when he appeared out of the blue as chief again, but not surprised he couldn't cut it in the business world.

I'm sure it didn't help his chances to have this story come out last summer while the decision was being made.

Affidavit: Chief Trevino undermined internal affairs investigation

The City Manager doesn't like drama and an unresolved Federal lawsuit for conduct in office equals drama.

Thanks for the link. Since I now have nothing nice to say about the whole police chief issue, I will say nothing at all.

The police union is being pretty pathetic at this point. They want the mayor, city manager, and now the police chief gone. The union reps are pissed about the firing of the police office who killed the unarmed man.

Without all of the BLM movements going on lately, the outcome might have been different.

I have not read up enough on what exactly happened to make my own judgment call though. I do recall the victim having two felony warrants at the time of the shooting.

the reaction to mcmanus I believe is 100% tied to the soon to be firing of the cop who killed the unarmed man.
