My daughter is graduating from UTSA this Friday and would like to go out for Mexican food afterwards. Can y'all suggest a really good Mexican restaurant that has nice atmosphere and preferably takes reservations? Thanks in advance.

I've always liked Alamo Cafe on IH-10 near the UTSA campus. Nice decor and good food.

Mixtli (McCullough) is great if she's a foodie and your budget permits.

Paloma Blanca (Broadway) or Aldaco's (Dominion) are probably your best bets. They're kinda fancy and the food and Margaritas are both very good.

Acenar is my favorite option for Mexican food on the Riverwalk, but as a local I'd probably pick one of the other choices.

Aldacos in Stone Oak has a much better patio and view then Dominion. I personally like Sol Luna or El Mirador (same owner and menu), or Rosario's in Southtown if y'all want to go out before or after dinner.

It's a shame the food at Aldacos in Stone Oak doesn't come close to the view or the margaritas.

So Luna on Broadway

Make reservations and specify the patio.

Congratulations Irene, you must be proud! I would 2nd Paloma Blanca but I haven't been to those other places reco'd. Well, Acenar is also very good and has Riverwalk access but it if you want to avoid Downtown PB.
