My understanding is that Google Fiber is to be offered citywide in San Antonio. I don't know about unincorporated areas, or suburban cities.

AT&T and TWC are also expanding the reach of their fiber plants. Just because you see fiber being laid in your neighborhood doesn't mean you're about to be rescued by the city's newest provider.

Oh thrill! Another bunch of irresponsible dumbazz's destroying the back yard. This time, after AT&T got thru with the back yards around here, there's not much left to destroy. My yard looked like a park this time last year. We've renamed it Hiroshima....and mine isn't the worst. They screwed up the drainage, some yards replaced grass while others nothing. Some still haven't had the ditch filled since Labor Day. They cut major electrical lines. I still have a 1" electric line running out of the green box in the back to another house uphill from me. It's hanging off the fence. They cut gas lines, water lines, and nobody downtown gives a crap. Oh what a thrill! Yeah, Google is in my neighborhood marking streets. AT&T used 2 quarts of spray in my yard alone. That'll kill the hell outa the grass. On the plus side, there's nobody left to dig up my yard again. The wife wants to either move or put up another fence and screw the easement. If it grows 10 feet high, we don't care anymore and we're not going to worry about the thousands we've spent on landscaping. You can't have anything nice in POS town.

TrapperL.....small claims court. You'd be surprised what they'll do - oh, and alert the media about it, as well.
