I'll be visiting your fair city next week. Forecasts call for 103 degrees with 45% humidity. The low is going to be 77 degrees (wow)

So how hot is it going to feel? Is it pretty common to get that hot in summer in SA?

I'm from Denver, 99-100+ degree days are somewhat common, but humidity is low. Been to Vegas with 115 degrees but also low/no humidity.

Thanks

Its going to feel very uncomfortable. You are not going to want to spend much time outside. It will start getting hot at around 10:00ish, and stay that will till about 8:00 at night. Hottest part of the day will be from 5ish till 8 when it finally starts to cool down.

Wear very lightweight and light colored clothing, hats and sunglasses, and stay hydrated. We live through it every year but you have to use common sense. Stay indoors or in the shade whenever possible during the hottest part of the day, which is "most of the day."

Well we'll be at SeaWorld two of the days. Aquatica one day and SeaWorld the next. Do they let you go back and forth between the two parks in one day? And how much shade does SeaWorld have?

Thanks

It will not be over 100 any day this week or next but it might get close. That said it does not matter it will be hot. It does not get uncomfortable outside until around noon and then stays that way till 8 or so. If you are doing seaworld I recommend the splash zone at the shows and drink WATER.

Yes, you can go in and out of each park however aquatica tends to get filled and sometimes there may be a line to wait for entrance so head over and enjoy as fast as you can before trying out other parts of the park. And there are lots of shaded areas. I have not been in awhile due to not really a fan of seaworld but when you have young nephews too little for six flags and schlitterbahn, it was a good option

I think that it's going to be 98 not 103. 40% RH is low. It will feel like 95. I HIGHLY recommend wearing something like a NIKE dri fit which is incredibly light and some have sun protection built in. You will be fine. If this boy who lived in PA for 14 years can take it, so can you.

I would highly recommend not using the weather.com. They are not very accurate and always run hot in summer and cold in the winter on temperatures.

From the NWS...

100 is highest temperature and it only occurs once. It seems to be trending higher for that side of town though. While a few degrees seems to be nick picking that really affects the heat index and in turn if you should even be outside.
