No. My employer is switching us to BCBSTX effective 01/01/2017, with a notation that "CVS will become our preferred pharmacy".

I have BCBSTX insurance and they use Catamaran RX for prescription coverage. I'm not sure if all BCBS plans are that way . I just checked Catamaran website and CVS is still listed on there.

It appears this is only applicable to BCBS accounts that use Prime as the pharmacy benefits manager. CVS also lost Tricare as well.

On Jan. 1 CVS will be removed from the BCBS National network, Walgreens will become the new Preferred Network Pharmacy. Walgreens went to BCBS and basically gave them a deal they couldn't refuse as long as they removed CVS from their network. Other large pharmacies still in the network include Walmart, HEB, Albertsons/Market Street.

BCBS sent out a letter to brokers and agents back in the later part of the summer regarding this move, and they were supposed to send letters out to individuals at the beginning of October letting them know of the change. Here's an article from The Chicago Tribune from yesterday about it.
