hehehe..I've never found anything of significance, however I plan to find some gold here soon. I did happen to find an old bullet tip which was pretty cool.

You guys are EVIL! Between this wonderful thread, the great time we had the little we used our friends detector on the beach during our recent cruise, and the WONDERFUL website you guys attached, I just orderd my Ace 250 as well!

I'm thinking we are going to be tripping over each other with these soon! Thanks for the heads up.

Are you allowed to detect in the city parks areas???

I do know that now you need a permit (er-r-r revenue enhancement paper) to metal detect in SA. They'll let you know where you can go (sic) and where you can't. National Parks/Historic Places are verboten...

Where do you get one of these revenue enhancement papers??? I suppose it would be cheaper than getting arrested and having to post bail....

Just spent the last 20 mins with 311 and they don't have the foggiest idea who handles that. Also talked to Park Police - no joy. They suggested calling Developental Svcs who dishes out permits-- no one there on saturday. I'll find out monday....

Hummmm.....maybe if it is that "little known" I'll take my chances...at least if I get stopped they will at least be able to tell me where to get one!
