I wish they were the old ones - the newer versions are quite dumbed down from what I have recorded from my childhood in the 80's.

I've tried for over a year to get them to show Signing Time here - my brother in OK gets it via PBS and records it for my daughter here since KLRN doesn't air it.

For the record, it was his WWII documentary that people were protesting. He DID include Latinos, but he included them in with the rest of the Caucasians rather than giving them their own separate portion of the documentary. He apparently didn't realize that a lot of Latinos/Hispanics don't really identify as Caucasian alone.
Sorry for the late response to your questions. Ken Burns premiered a portion of his new documentary about the National Parks. He talks about the important figures that shaped the genesis of the parks as well as the troublemakers and mischiefs. Only Ken Burns can make something exciting out of 7-12hours of documentary footage. To be honest, I think this one is going to be one of his lesser known or anticipated films. I'm a sucker for the National Parks, so I'll watch, but this will documentary will not hold a candle to his past work, especially Lewis & Clark and Civil War. As it turns out, his next film is going to be a continuation of Baseball and take into account the new "steroid" era, etc.

I love PBS, but when the switchover to DTV occurred, we lost the channel for some reason (probably b/c we need to upgrade our rabbit ears to something stronger?) on our TV w/ the converter box. On our other HDTV, it's just fuzzy..... It's very frustrating.... nothing good is ever on.
