Hi,
We are a military family moving here in August and currently house hunting. My main concern is to live in a safe neighborhood with an excellent school district. My daughter will be going into 8th grade and is a straight A student. Academics is our top priority when considering schools. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Comal. All are great, though.

Ditto. Comal ISD is the best of the three, but a contentious student will succeed at all three and all are reputable when applying to top universities.

If you were looking at Canyon HS versus New Braunfels HS which would be the best in your opinion. I was told by a realtor that Comal ISD had more "riff raff". I am most definitely not an elitist but that comment did plant a seed of doubt about Comal ISD. What is it about Comal ISD that might make a realtor say that do you think?

They probably had a house they wanted you to buy that was in NBISD. I've always seen Canyon as a better option than NB. Or at least that's the impression I always got living in San Antonio.
