Since this is a thread involving food, it's a good place to post the best news I've gotten since I moved to Texas: Carl's Jr. now sells the Hardees Cinnamon Raisin biscuits!

Now all I have to do is change my morning commute and I'm a breakfast person again.

Furr's is now open on 35 and Zarzamora. Sign up for their email club online and get a coupon for Buy 1, Get 1 Free Buffet. Furr's Family Dining
Probably going to try it next weekend for lunch (save space by not eating breakfast).

Yes, my gf and I tried it like two or three weeks ago.

It was very delicious... I would recommend.

Me and wife might venture out to try lupe tortilla today. Someone I know tried it and said that it was too expensive for what it was and not that great. I went to website and I find that that's not true as most of their plates average about $10. Do they serve u a good amount? Are they big plates?? It looks and sounds really good.

I think they still have a few kinks to work out. My food wasn't as hot as I would have liked. The serving sizes were more than generous and pretty tasty. We will definitely go back and try it again.

I can find out for you on Wednesday. We have some To Go Menus at work that have the price of the buffet on them. Some of the Furr's staff dropped them off at our work site since it is nearby.

There is a new Cracker Barrel going up on SE Military and Goliad in front of HEB. I also had heard that there is a going to be a Texas Roadhouse on Military (but I have no confirmation).

Default La Vie

La Vie - a decent lunch place near the Alon HEB on NW Military. Went by and it was closed with for rent sign on the space.

Too bad - it wasn't bad. That Plaza is almost empty and still giant spaces are being built around town.
