I saw that Copelands on 281/TPC and Adboe Cafe at Evans rd both closed. Adboe cafe was only open a month or so and Copelands closed suddenly around Labor Day ( I think?)

Anyone know what happend? I loved Copelands, sad for the employee. I heard that got no warning!

Two Carl's Jr restaurants are opening in San Antonio next week. The location at 21205 US 281 is opening 12/3 and the other at 2002 SW Military on 12/6. Will there be any Grand Opening events at either location?

Moderator cut: Off-Topic

Adobe had been open for over a year. The owner had mentioned that he would probably need to downsize "due to Obamacare". (his words) Truth is, that location was often empty.

I've stopped by Firewater Grill off 281 and Overlook Parkway a few times the last week and the doors have been locked.

New restaurant going up at the Rim on the corner of the access road and Rim Pass, next to the two Marriott hotels. No signs up nor have I been able to find anything on the internet about it, except for a site listing "Restaurant with alcohol sales", but no name.

Out of meat - go to HEB down the road or whatever.

Once went to Red Lobster and they were out of salmon. HEB was across the street. They meant they were out of their corporate controlled portion.

That's unlike a Chinese restaurant. We ordered an eggplant dish and saw the chef run across the parking lot to the market and come back with one.

Tried again today around 3:00...absolutely closed. Phone number "not in service".

I'd put this place back in the "not open" column!

Yep...my husband and I remarked that they should have offered us something free on our next visit...just as an apology/goodwill.
