I called their southside phone number and found it was forwarded to the S. Presa location (southtown) and they are handling the delivery requests for southside callers. They said that the store was closed for remodeling. I found that statement odd, as the place was opened and built out just over a year ago. Further, the complete removal of signage and lack of any infrastructure inside the space leads me to believe otherwise.

Sad. They *usually* had good food. At least they still deliver.
Hrm. They hadn't mentioned that. But they are hoping to open a "sports bar" ("" because it's a little unclear) on S. Presa across from their current China Garden.

@ Chaka -- At the old NAPA, or the Bistro Bakery place?

Talked to Adrian, the owner of CG, the other day and he said the Southside location is indeed going through a renovation. Didn't say it was a permanent closure.

I can't imagine they would close ANY location, as they do gangbusters on business in this city.

Old napa. It's funny every one calls it that as napa was only there for a short time.

I was wondering of CG couldn't shake the reputation of their berzerk (now fired) cook that opened fire at the store, a market patrol car and at the Mayan Theater last year.
