Hummm. I was told Drews closed because they wanted to get into the catering business. If the landlord was raising everyone's rent by that percentage I would expect a mass exodus from the center.

Not necessarily. Not everybody's leases expire at the same time, or even the same year. Until the lease is up for renewal, the tenant and landlord are locked into the terms that were agreed upon at inception of the lease.

Was just driving down DeZavala and noticed the old Finley's Chick- n -Ribs location now has a sign for Cedars Mediterranian Grill.
Looking online, I noticed several Texas locations.
Traffic was horrible, so I didn't notice a sign stating when they open.

What a horrible location. This is the 4th different restaurant that location has been. It started as a Charley's, then the Fish and Chips place and then the Finley's. Now this?

You got that right.
That stretch of Dezavala is a clusterfunk of businesses grouped together with very little access, very little parking and the lights and turn lanes are a joke.
Hard to believe we used to blast down that stretch of DeZavala 90mph in high school.

And when all that was on that side of 10 was the post office and the post office center.

I think the only time i go anywhere near that specific space is when I need(ed) to send a textbook back via UPS or to get some custard from Culver's. Otherwise there's no need for that little center. I think there is even still space for lease. And don't even get me started with them building a stand alone mcalister's behind the one that was already there (to keep this restaurant oriented has anyone been to that one?)

Why hasn't Culvers expanded?? That's been the only SA location forever. I'm really surprised.

It appears that the franchise holder doesn't want to or can't afford to. I wish there was a different franchise holder.
