I believe there's a China Rose on Walzem. Part of the same ownership group so the food is basically the same.

If Wok Inn is anything like China Rose, I wouldn't bother. China Rose is gross, well the one I went to a few times off SW Military.

The Shipley's Do-Nuts on Culebra at Zarzamora is now sporting 'NOW OPEN' banners and neon sign.

...and in a jack-leg move, the property owners of the old Shipley's on Austin Hwy have leased the previous location (next to the Hawaiian BBQ place) wait for it.... to a 'Drive Thru Donuts' business.... just down the street from the brand new Shipley's.

I also agree that Golden Wok is very good, but only the one on Wurzbach. I went to that other location near Ingram once and I personally thought it was bad plus they did not have full dim sum menu on Sundays at the time I went.

I was the Valero today and saw some people at the location and I crossed the street to ask what was going on and the guy tells me he thinks it maybe a dunkin donuts but was not sure. But he said it was a doughnut place for sure, hope he knows for sure.

Wow that's cool! A Pollo Tropical! Never ate there but out here in Schertz all we have is fried chicken joints. Kept wishing they would build a Pollo Loco but instead we got Raising Cane. Got to look at their menu. Yes,the China Rose on Walzem is gone. Never tried it. A sign said they had a kitchen fire? so its gone. Never been to Wok Inn. I do remember the QuikWok on Walzem years ago.
