That's too bad. I liked that place. Raising rates seems a stupid strategy unless you have an immediate replacement. I recall Drew's restaurant got nailed by a rent increase and the replacement T & A bar flopped. The space was empty for a long time. So how does that economic impact work for the strip mall owners?

I am convinced that location is doomed. Anyone remember Watermark Grill? It was fabulous but the Landlord made impossible to stay in business.
