Even more new buildings in that spot? They're going to have to start building second and third stories on top of what is already there. Goodness. Thanks! I'll give the fam an update.

Yes, it's a new building facing Silicon and Walmart...all those little fast food joints face the access rd to 10.

Was up at Advanced Auto Parts Saturday at 281 and Evans and noticed a number of places have closed. Dickie’s BBQ and Luciano’s in the strip mall are gone. According to the parts clerk Dickie’s struggled from day one and never did well in that location. Luciano’s was a bit of a surprise and apparently literally closed overnight without telling some of the employees. Caveat here is that was what the parts clerk said so I’m not sure that’s correct or accurate. Certainly that immediate area has been deathly for a number of fast food and regular restaurants. It’s like wait six months and a new place will open and eventually go under.

That's too bad about Luciano's. It was decent but never seemed very busy. The one in Stone Oak does more business, I think. It's a shame to have it sit empty, though...I bet the rent is ridiculous right there.

I bet a lot of those strip malls and commercial rental property out that way are run by landlords or investor groups out of state that jack up the prices and don’t care about keeping businesses around.

Yeah, I'm sure that practice is exclusive to Stone Oak.

Did I say it was exclusive to Stone Oak? What I said is meant to imply it is happening in that area, didn’t say it was the only area. Me thinks you just like to argue followed by some kind of status message.

Mmmhmmm, sure. Then why say "out that way?" Methinks you have a general disdain for this area for whatever stupid reason.
