The whole breakfast-brunch kind of place is just a fad. It will die out over time.

There is already a snooze at the quarry, so they must be doing something right. For me, I like to workout in the morning, grocery shop and eat after. These places are meant to be places to be seen and be social. I love my breakfast post long run (my group always went to el milagrito on Saint Mary’s) but there’s something about these places where I’d feel so out of place post workout all sweaty. Like it’s an effort to eat breakfast. I went to snooze in Austin after a half marathon and after the hour long wait (but of course this is austin when're everything trendy takes forever) and I swear people were rolling their eyes st how I looked. Get over it. I just ran my best half marathon ever and I’m goinh to drink a dang minosa in my sweaty clothes. At any rate, the food was so-so. I’d rather have my migas.

Hmmm point being, again, they’re doing something right if they’re opening a second location.

That isn’t an good indicator of restaurant success. Look at Pollo Tropical for example.

It’s an age thing.

We go to brunch at least two weekends out of the month and almost every place we patronize is filled to capacity.

Empty-nesters here, we go out every Saturday and Sunday morning. No matter where we go, they're busy.

Pollo tropical opened up like gang busters, one on every corner. Snooze is not that ay. The quarry snooze has been there since at least 2015 because I had friends going there before I moved to Austin that year, I think it was a calculated move to hit the young millennial professionals in the medical center where it can be tough to get to La cantera or the quarry during peak driving times.

For me personally, I don't like going out to eat for breakfast. My family and I like to have a leisurely morning at home on weekends.
Which old Applebees?

never heard of Snooze, so need to look it up.years ago, i used to go to The Quarry to the movies and then Borders Bookstore, but not anymore. Can't recall the last time i saw a movie at the Quarry. Really don't go much of any place any more. Not even to pick wildflowers in the country either every spring.
