Well it sounds delicious but the prices for the entrees and a few other things leave me out, though i could afford some of the appetizers.

Pavel was good, until it wasn't. They yanked a ton of French classics from their menu.

I felt like their last 6 months of service was just horrible. Like they just stopped giving a ****.

Chou Chou is in the exact spot they need to be with more than enough money backing them to ensure they stick around awhile.

The dining room is a real beaut as well. It's well-time for SA to compete with Dallas and Houston in terms of not only good kitchens, but beautiful design as well.

Another wing place opening early next year out by Helotes.
All the chicken places out this way have become a running joke in the neighborhood . They're everywhere out here.

Someone told me at work that they are going to breed chickens with six wings (3 per side) to keep up with the demand. I hope that was a joke but you never know....

Oh boy... I can't wait to wait 2 hours for undercooked pancakes.

Hard pass.

What they were and what they are now are two very different things.

The Cookhouse restaurant is closing on the 31st. Always liked the place, had one last meal there this weekend and it was still a great meal & good time.

By the way, Christmas day my sister in law and i went to Culebra's Market on Nacogdoches to get breakfast tacos and mexican sweet breads. We passed the Olive Garden in Live Oak by the Ikea. Seems there is a new building going in right next to it. Is not finished.Found out from a co -worker at TJMAXX, what it is. Nancy was at Olive Garden , and her and her family were told by the waitress it's going to be a Longhorn Steakhouse. Have a gift card for Christmas for Texas Roadhouse which i'll use, but will still try the new place when it opens. Still need to check out the Magnolia Pancake Haus in Cibolo.

Cookhouse was legit and very consistent.

I'm excited to see their new Asian concept, opening soon.
