I heard on another post that K-Bob’s Steakhouse was in SA in the 80’s. Does anyone know how many there were and where they were located at?

Hungry Horse on Wurzbach and Evers in Leon Valley. My mother loved this place and we frequently visited this place in the early 90s before moving to the Houston Area.

There are only three locations in San Antonio left.

Did it become Godfather's Pizza and the Old World German Restaurant or was it torn down?

EDIT: turns out it was those places stated above (confirmed from Bexar County land records)

Is that the place where you cooked your own steak?
Went there a couple of times, I liked that place.
If I remember correctly, was it close to Ingram Mall? And a Mervyn's store close by?
Memory is weak.

Cary on.

Liked that place too.
It was at Summit Parkway and 410.
Where Chopsticks buffet is now. Might have been the same building, too long ago to be sure.

Pretty sure Furr's didn't come to San Antonio until well after the 1980s. Only location I recall here was Highway 151 just outside 410.

Luby's was always the dominant Cafeteria chain in San Antonio. They've closed a number of locations in recent years, and their future is now in question. Wyatt's was also a cafeteria chain with several locations in San Antonio, but I think they closed their last remaining location here (Rolling Oaks Mall?) sometime in the 1990s.
