My child also attends Forester and we too got that same letter home. While extremely scary to even think about, I am confident that the administration will handle this in the most appropriate way possible. I have met with the Principal on a few different occasions and I have the utmost confidence in him that he will do right by the students, the parents and the school. I can assure you he is as freaked out as anybody else.

The problem is that the students that the other child showed the gun to only came forward on Friday, so there simply wasn't time to do a full investigation and provide more details to the parents before the Thanksgiving break. He did the right thing by sending out a letter home to the parents. I think we will find out all we need once the investigation is complete. The children will not be in school all next week, a good thing, so it will give the administration and authorities time to sort this out. When the children come back, the student body will be addressed.

RD- How come you're not railing on the irresponsible gun owner parents as usual (if it indeed does turn out that the kid brought it from home as was posted.)?

I know this is closer to Marbach and 1604 but I wanted to share that Pulte in Windcrest sold the remaining lots to Centex. My wife and I used to live outside 1604 on Potranco but the traffic got to crazy and moved to the Pulte subdivision. Centex is a decent builder right? I just hope they keep it in the mid 100s.

You do realize that Pulte and Centex merged. Pulte actually bought Centex earlier this year.

I just called and found out that although they are merging, they will be using their different names to bring a variety of floor plans to the subdivision. Thanks for the info.

Ours went out 4 times. The first time for about an hour..the others just 5 minutes each. Must've had a blown transformer (or someone smacked into a pole).
