What were they speaking? Chinese? (rd2007 will like this one!)

Perhaps you should find someone who speaks the language and bring him or her along next time. (For more information on this tactic, watch the Seinfeld episode entitled, "The Understudy." It's episode 110, originally aired 5/18/1995.)

I think 99.9% are viets....you should see their face when my 6'5" DH rattles something to them in their native language....Oh My Goodness it is priceless. When they ask him where he learned it, we tell them we went on vacation for 2 weeks and he learned while there....MAN to their eyes get BIG!!! LOL

Default Nail salons

On this subject, has anyone else noticed just how many of these places are around, and yet if it isn't around prom time, they are virtually empty? It's amazing to me that they are able to stay in business. Just sit in front of one and watch. They have alot of employees, and no customers. Maybe they are some sort of front for laundering money, or I guess they just charge so much when they do get a customer, that they can afford to remain open. I am really puzzled about this. And while on the subject, no disrespect intended, but why are they all being operated by people of asian descent? I mean, if it is such a profitable market, why isn't anyone else in on it?

Wink Paving Update

Most of the action right now is centered between Hunt Lane and Ellison. Also in that area in the AM are several Bexar Co. motorcycle deputies and they're just wearing out the vehicles. I see them out there every morning on my way out Potranco. Look for them parked in the center turn lane...http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/transport003.gif (broken link)

They had a cop on 1604 south between Potranco and Marbach tonight. He was one of the stealth cars and didn't have any lights on. Fortunately for me he did have his radar on the whole time so I "saw" him way before I got to him. Best thing about a radar detector is it gives you advanced warning that all the morons in front of you are suddenly going to slam on their brakes once they finally see the cop sitting there..

I've seen a couple in front of Luna MS for the past couple of days. It's funny - people never want to do 20 when they should, but will do it for 5 miles OUT of the school zone because they saw a cop, and then gun it.
