hi --- my husband and i are considering another neighborhood and the middle school is Rawlinson --- reviewers on greatschools.net ranked it a 9 out of 10 and it seems to be good with academics ---

does anyone have any first hand experience with this school???

what about Clark ... i know back in the day it was one of the "it" schools --- but does anyone have any information on it for todays day and age???

thanks in advance...

well i go to clark high school, i'm a senior, been there for all four years, it's a great high school, its real easy to get involved, i'm not just saying this cause i go there, but personally think and heard from many others that it's the best school in the northside district, i can get you more info if you need on clark, now for rawlinson i just only know a little, it first year when i was an 8th grader at rudder middle school, so it's pretty knew, as far as the people there, it's going to be the same at any middle school on this side of town, but it's definantly safe, if your kids hang out with the right crowd

Pretty sure the OP has already decided, since this thread is 1 and 1/2 years old.

sorry you have had a bad experience at Rawlinson... Our oldest daughter, who is now a Sophomore at Clark, went there for 7th and 8th grades and we had no problems at all...

My daughter was very happy there and liked her teachers... I found all the teachers to be very responsive...

Keep in mind that we came from a uniformed middle school... So the kids at Rawlinson were nothing compared to the kids we were used to going to school with... Talk about some rough and tumble kids... Rawlinson kids were a breath of fresh air in comparrison, LoL

I have spoken to other parents since who have also not liked Rawlinson, but in all honesty, I think ANY school, Middle School especially, is going to have those who love it and those who hate it... Middle School years are the roughest years, especially with the kids trying to establish themselves on the social ladder, I really think these years are going to be hard at any school...

I hope things turn around for you and your child...
