I just came across this website that explains some of the future plans around the Laurel Canyon apartments and Walmart at Culebra and 1604.
Thought I would share.

I used to live in the Laurel Canyon apartments and there are very nice and very well maintained.

Default Culebra & 1604

Is the city doing the repaving/resurfacing of Culebra from 1604 to Leslie Rd? Why not keep going all the way to 1560? Also, looks like Jim's is finally being built

It's about time they started Jim's. Hasn't Jim's owned that land for a few years now?? I haven't been that way in a while, I have found alternate routes since that horrible day the first week of September (when they closed some lanes there and backed up traffic all the to Rudy's on 151 )

From what I gather, they are putting in two lanes both ways and a turning lane all the way from 1604 to 1560. I hope this is true.

LOL i used to call the Jim's number on their board at least once a month and they kept telling me that it would come up soon. Finally they told me that "there are other Jim's in the city if i wanted to try them out" lol.

Default Official Culebra and 1604 area thread

Well, Potranco and 1604 has its own thread, how about one for Culebra and 1604? I'll start off with the addition of two more strip malls on Culebra just East of HEB. It looks like Culebra is starting to go down the same road (pun?) as Potranco with all these strip malls. Any guess on what type stores will be in these?

Well, the big news today is Papa Murphy's grand opening. I just ordered Papa John's online because we have a houseful of kids this weekend, my husband is sick, and I had a nasty week and don't feel like cooking. (well, that and I forgot to take something out for dinner.)

Culebra and 1604 is going to be awesome when we get our Super Target and that whole Alamo Ranch Marketplace opened up!

Hey, we're getting a Best Buy--do you know how much gas I am going to save? We go to the Ingram one now, and it's probably not much further, but I hate the traffic over there, plus the construction on 410. I'm also excited about the JC Penney. I don't get my nails done anymore, and I have nothing to put in storage, so hopefully they will build more stuff for me!
