I was parked this afternoon, waiting in the car while wife shopped at HEB. Close to thirty minutes.

San Antonio Parking Enforcement guy was cleaning up, nailed three folks illegally parked in handicap spots.

Of course they all claimed they were handicapped but could not produce their papers.

I was surprised at the number of violators in such a short period of time.

Kudos to the enforcers. I didn't know anyone patrolled the parking lots anywhere. Good to know. I am amazed at all the handicap license plates in this town, but realize this is a retirement town for military. I am grateful I don't have to use a handicapped spot. Most I see circling and getting a parking place really close need the exercise. :-0

Well if it was at the one on Broadway, I can believe that they would patrol that one.

I go out of my way to enforce handicap spots. Even against those who leave someone in that car. They all say the same two things "So and so just ran in for a minute" and "I would move if someone needed the spot." Is someone who has a right to that spot supposed to contact you and ask you to move? Here is your ticket....it is expensive.

Unfortunately I've seen people yell at those who have the correct plates (DV) but maybe don't look like they need to park there. It makes matters worse. You never know the ways people suffer.

Which HEB was it? My HEB at 281/Evans rarely has violators. I always check, since my grandmother is handicapped and uses those spots herself.
