It seems that words conveying inclusion and tolerance need to be removed from the city's web site.

I wonder which of these conventions would be turned away?

American Communist Party
Socialists for Bernie Sanders
MALDF
SDS
Black Lives Matter
ANTIFA
CAIR

San Antonio really is giving up a position of leadership to be a backwater third tier town.

Why would they turn the RNC away? I thought San Antonio had a solid republican base.

I'm sorry I voted for Nirenberg. He's letting us get caught up in this ridiculously politically correct world.

A decision made at a closed door meeting with no votes? Something doesn’t smell right.

There was a stench before the votes were counted. This is what happens when folks don't pay attention to what is going on. Seems like our elections are becoming more of a popularity contest. I wonder just how many billions of dollars this stupidity will cost San Antonio...a MAJOR chance to join the big leagues.

When the proposal to build the Alamodome to attract an NFL expansion franchise was being pitched to voters in the late 1980s, one of the side benefits was to have been to give San Antonio the ability to accommodate some of the major national conventions that had to be "turned away", because we simply didn't have adequately-sized accommodations. Not only would we be a shoo-in for an NFL franchise, but now we could start attracting some of those big conventions, too.

In the center of our local officials' target? One of the major national political conventions, seemingly the crown jewel of conventions. But now nearly thirty years later, I guess they feel it would be more trouble than it's worth...

Might Offend

Not the Element We Want to Attract

Capitulation

Why don't we have a crying room at the council?

Hopefully he's a "one and done." Absolutely useless liberal.
