Hail wind and tornadoes??? Tomorrow??? Me no likey hail and tornadoes. Lived in the metroplex too long....and that hail storm here in 06 demolished a family member's car. I posted pics back then, but it's worth a repeat.

This was after the hail had melted.....baseball sized hail...piles of it on the seats and floorboard. It even split the stitching in the leather upholstery. Glass everywhere....everything in the car had to be thrown out because of the glass fragments. This was from that storm that hit San Marcos and battered the Prime Outlet Mall.

This car was in almost perfect condition. Check out the hubcap in the second pic....it looks like it it had been picked up off the highway after being driven over by a semi several times. The hail hit other cars and the pavement and ricocheted like missiles. They were in a restaurant and the hail even broke windows on the west side of the building. No one was hurt...thankfully! Later they heard the police station just across the highway had been damaged by a tornado in that same storm. Again...no one was hurt. Totally a freak storm though!

I don't like the destruction/devastation but I do love the storms.

I wouldn't mind seeing it hit the other side of the street, but it needs to stay away from my house and my cars.

Hello- I have a quick question for all- do you have any suggestions for a learning tool for Algebra? I started taking a class- I have never taken Algebra before- I am a complete dummy when it comes to math. I alway get the same answers as the rest of the class- but not by the same method as them those formulas do not make sense to me!! Anyway the teacher is one of those that just reads the book and works the problems on the board- I dont learn well that way. I looked up the book Algebra for Dummies, but the reviews I read were not good- it says it is a good book for people who have already had a year of Algebra. Any suggestions would be great.

I'll check something when I get home. My last instructor for algebra was very good and he has his own tutorial sites on the web, but the URL's are at home, I think. If I can't find them at home, it'll probably take a couple days to get them from a friend of mine, but he should have the URL still.
I used to hate algebra and it was all because of crappy instructors during 7th and 8th grades (that's when I had Algebra I and II). After that I went to trig, geometry, and calculus and those were more how my brain operates.

Thank you-I will look for your response. I have always hated math-but I am forcing myself to take Algebra, and a bad teacher doesnt help.

nm this part

on a + note, I found a new way to mess with telemarketers. Some fool just called about some stupid thing and asked about my work. I told him I'm about to lose my job and he asked why, so I told him it's because obama got elected. He obviously wasn't expecting that response

edit- I had my classes confused, which happens often. The tutorial was for Java and Visual Basic.. oops
