I was wondering about that just now. I used to watch this back in the day.

PM magazine was a nationally syndicated show that was designed to be produced with local anchors. A station that ran it would tape introductions to each segment using local talent so it would look like a hometown show with great production values. Occasionally the local station might produce a segment that was broadcast nationally. It was produced by Westinghouse Television.

The show fulfilled the FCC's old requirement on local programming and usually ran during the prime time access time slot. I have no clue who hosted it here in SA because I lived in San Diego at the time but I used to like it too... Especially loved the "Chef tell" segment.. SMELL! (waving hand over food).

BigDogsTX is correct. I did an internship at a TV station in another market that carried PM Magazine. I got to see the taping and editing of the "ins and outs," which were the local segments before and after each national segment. It was a fairly cushy gig for the on-camera talent, but the production people behind the camera didn't enjoy it so much.

the reason why I am asking is because I was doing a google search on the rock band KISS, and found a link to a youtube clip on KISS in San Antonio back in 1979 on the Dynasty tour. its a seven minutes clip from PM Magazine.
Mario Bustos interviewed the band. but I cant view it, because I am on a webtv unit. I was wondering, can a youtube clip be burned onto a dvd? here is the link to the KISS clip

It's kind of sad that there are no TV shows like PM magazine anymore... It was kind of a fluff show but it was nice to watch TV with uplifting human stories. Everything on during that time period now is either scandal driven tabloid/entertainment programs of negative political talk shows.

Default SA hosts

Haa maruaweka,

The PM Magazine hosts were SATX TV "Personalities". The little hispanic guy was caught at a halloween party with a tranny dressed as the statue of liberty.

And then...

Scroatie.

Default I'm not sure,but...

PM magazine somehow evolved into "THE HISTORY CHANNEL"

My Comanche Warrior/Elder mother commented about the guy who lived in a "TeePee"...."What a JERK!"

Solly Cholly,

Scroatie
