a gun is worth a lot more money.. I believe it is also legal to use the gun on the thief, which is much more useful than leaving it in your car..

and the police not arresting a fool that they have the name and address on it pathetic. That would probably encourage people to take the law into their own hands and I wouldn't blame them if I was on their jury..

They're looking for anything of value that can be "fenced" easily and guns are right at the top of their list. Everything else is gravy....

Car break-ins are up over 46%, last I heard. I think part of has to do with the new gun laws which basically makes your car an extension of your home, so you can leave your weapon in your vehicle at all times.

One of my neighbors who lives here in Alamo Ranch, but in another subdivision had an incident. He woke up to go to work one morning and found his Hummer up on cement blocks. All four tires and rims were gone and they smashed one of his windows.

May be a good idea to have motion detecting flood light out front or a pop-up .50 cal that locks onto selectable heat signatures.
I saw that. I wondered whether they were stolen or if the truck was being repod or maybe they sold the wheels and tires. Then I saw a for sale sign in front of the house.

True. Things are not always what they seem. Some things need re-visited several times to get the true perspective. ...

I hope the pawn shop gives him $3 for that brief case. Idiots.
So sorry to hear that....this is why I try not to leave ANYTHING at all in the car...these morons think there is something to be had if they see it!

I saw the same--and it was about three weeks before closing on our new house in the same neighborhood. I must admit I was a bit nervous at first, but (so far) I haven't seen any real cause for concern. From what I understand, the Hummer in question didn't have an alarm, so that may explain how the thieves were able to get away with so much in full-view. Still sucks, though.
