Maybe if it were a bunch of sorority sisters wanting to rent it.

Yes, if they would pay the cost of one off duty officer in each room of my house for the entire time, AND I were able to interview the officers first to assure they wouldn't make a worse mess than the party-ers.

I admit I could not do it. The creepy factor kicks in and you just never know whose getting the keys to your palace.

I was thinking about this last night. We live a short walk from the Alamodome, it's tempting. Alas, our house is still in its renovations and I don't feel it's safe enough to rent out. I wouldn't risk that liability. I'm not opposed to it in the future, though, under the right conditions.

I used to live in South Bend, IN, in a house very near the Notre Dame campus. Many neighbors rented out their houses for football weekends. I never did as I was renting and didn't feel comfortable renting out someone else's house without their approval, but it was tempting.

last time the Final Four was in town I didn't rent the whole house out, but I did let 2 strangers stay in it (for free), with me there - they were acquaintances of a friend who asked if I could help them out. It turned out to be quite fun.

I could get a house payment out of it!
