I would really love to come but my husband often works late and we have no family nearby for childcare...We don't really know anyone well enough to ask them to babysit our two little ones.....

So...our acquaintanceship will have to remain "virtual" for a little while longer....

We may be in Florida...but we're definitely interested!

We are in the same boat. I am very careful with who I let watch my children and we have no family or close friends here. The lady who does watch them sometimes isn't feeling up to it right now.

You guys simply must get a teenager! It's great having one! Built in babysitter, they know and love the little ones, and they love the extra spending money!

Jis joshin' ya. I remember being in that boat. It does ease up with time, tho. And unless folks are set on getting together at The Stockyards, and if you guys with little ones would actually come if we have it at a family friendly spot, we could do that?????? The last couple of meetups, nobody with little ones were able to make it (except us, and we could just as easily leave them home with the older kids).

There's still time to change/alter the plans. Midorigreen and luckygreeniii ~ would you come if we had it somewhere that you could bring the little ones?

I know I should have been planning ahead about 16 years ago! Oops, my bad.

I have to consult with my husband but I would love to meet & greet. I don't want to change anyones plans, and I would prefer a night out w/out the kiddos. Plus, I really want to check out the new place! Sorry, that is kind of a wishy washy answer, isn't it? Let me see what I can do about finding a sitter; maybe my husband will want to stay home and I will just go myself.

Certainly understand those that have the kiddos...they do come first! One of the BEST benefits of being OLD is that you can tell them "I raised you, taught you what you need to know to be a good person, and the rest is up to you...if you suceed good on ya, and if you fail, it is YOUR responsibility" ! That and you don't need babysitters anymore...

Because my husband's work schedule is all over the place (and we share a car to reduce our carbon footprint - while increasing my stir-craziness!) I would hate for anyone to change plans to accomodate us. I propose that I will just come on my own if hubby is home that night - He always tells me I need to get out of the house more and now's his chance to MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!

If I can't make it - then noone is put out in any way and I'll try to get out to the next event! Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that I can sneak away to join you for a beer!

Oh....and I can't country dance to save my life so please be KIND and tolerate my attempts (should I gather up the nerve, that is....)

I'm in for either place!
For medorigreen and luckgreeniii, if we do it at Tiago's maybe you can stop in with the kiddos, get to know some of us, and find a sitter for the next time 'round among your new friends!

I just talked it over with the hubby and he said that he would hang out with the kids so I can have some down time. What time are you guys meeting? How will I know the crowd, will you all wear red roses? LOL!
