You're right but I seem to recall they said the Mayor in an early am newscast. They may have got their facts wrong and corrected later newscasts. Just substitute the name of the sender. It's still laughable.

Currently in MSP, not a bastion of Conservative politics; everyone, when they find
I am from San Antonio, find the CFA decision laughable.

I should tell them I am from Chicago.

Well, the decision was clearly made by a socially sanctioned majority, so it's a case of majority rule here. There was therefore no minority imposing its will on a majority. Incidentally, I think that their message was one of embracing not just the LGBT community, but all forms of diversity. I applaud that mission very much. That said, as a member of the LGBT community, I do NOT support their decision to ban Chick Fil-A. I find that organization and what it stands for to be abhorrent, but, as others have stated, banning a business for who they give money to is ridiculous. It's un-American and sets a dangerous precedent. My multiple friends who are applauding this vote would be enraged if the city had banned an organization because it donates to Planned Parenthood or the Human Rights Campaign, etc. Now, if Chick Fil-A's actions were discriminatory, that's a different story, but that is not the case, and that's why we have laws for that. Granted, more needs to be done to protect LGBT legally, but this is the wrong way to go about it. Formerly pretty far on the "left," the longer I watch what has been happening since Trump has been in office, the more "centrist" I become, because the left that I have supported is losing its @#$% by suggesting these radical knee-jerk "fixes" to social ills, and the singular focus on identity politics, being completely ignorant of the fact that the majority of flyover democrats who elect a president don't give a crap about that. This should make conservatives very happy as the next election heats up.

I totally agree with this. If I were on the council, I'd have voted no for this reason alone. Forget politics.

They are all over Houston Hobby. You know the actual tolerant city that elected an openly gay women as mayor .

I'm just curious as to what Numberg and co. have in mind to replace it with " that will more meet the culture of San Antonio"?

I thought the substitute was Panda Express, my food court choice of last resort.

Looks like Ken Paxton wants to get involved in this issue.

Paxton said the city may have violated federal law by banning Chick-fil-A based on the company's religious beliefs. He is pushing for the U.S. Department of Transportation to investigate potential federal violations.

Good. I don't even care if he wins the fight. It's just nice to see the right standing up to the left. It's long overdue.

Looks like Manny is regretting his vote against CFA. Must be worried about re-election?

Idiot. The mayor, too. I hope they're voted out.
